Who Can Stop Bulega? WorldSBK Heads to Most with One Big Question and a Strong Czech Presence
The FIM Superbike World Championship (WorldSBK) arrives at Autodrom Most this weekend (May 15–17) at a moment when the season already has a clear number one rider. Nicolò Bulega on Ducati has dominated the opening four rounds and leads the overall standings of the premier class by a significant margin. He comes to the Czech Round as the rider everyone wants to beat. Most could therefore deliver one of the key moments of the first half of the season: will Bulega confirm his dominance, or will a challenger emerge in the north of the Czech Republic to end Ducati’s red supremacy?
After four rounds, Bulega leads the championship with 248 points. His teammate Iker Lecuona is second with 166 points, while Sam Lowes sits third with 99 points. Ducati has set the pace so far, but the Most circuit is known for being unpredictable, where mistakes are punished immediately. For fans, the sporting storyline is clear: the world’s best riders arrive in the Czech Republic at a moment when another crucial chapter in the title fight could be written.
However, the Czech Round will not only be about the battle at the front of WorldSBK. Czech riders will also provide a strong storyline throughout the weekend. In the World Supersport category, Ondřej Vostatek and Oliver König will compete for the Czech team Compos Racing aboard Triumph Street Triple 765 RS motorcycles. Vostatek comes to Most after a points-scoring weekend in Hungary and aims to continue his improving form in front of the home crowd.
“I’m coming to Most determined to fight for the best possible result. I’ll be really happy if fans come to support me and visit our stand in the spectator area, where they can also buy my new fan T-shirt,” says Ondřej Vostatek.
Oliver König continues adapting to the WorldSSP class, the team, and the Triumph machinery after returning to the championship. The home round could become an important boost for the remainder of his season.
“I’m really looking forward to Most. It’s a track that has always helped me during the season and given me a huge push. I’d like to repeat that again this year and show significant progress. I can’t wait to see everyone this weekend in Most,” says Oliver König.
Another Czech presence will come in the new World Sportbike category, which replaced the former WorldSSP300 class. Troy Sovička from the Panattoni BGR Smrž Racing team is a permanent rider in the championship, and he will be joined at Most by Štěpán Zuda, who will compete as a wildcard entry. Home fans will therefore see four Czech riders competing during the world championship weekend.
The Most event is unique for how close it allows fans to get to the action. With a single ticket, visitors gain access to all grandstands and the paddock, where they can watch the teams at work, meet riders, visit the Paddock Show, autograph sessions, fan zone, and Victory Lane.
“WorldSBK is the first major motorsport event of the season in the Czech Republic, and we want it to be enjoyed not only by hardcore fans, but also by families and people who may be attending a world championship event for the first time. That’s why children under 15 have free admission. We are also thinking about motorcycle riders, for whom we have prepared a special Motorcyclist ticket with benefits that allow them to enjoy the weekend more comfortably and closer to the atmosphere. I invite all fans to come to Most. We have world-class racing ahead of us, Czech riders on track, and a weekend truly worth experiencing in person,” says Josef Zajíček, CEO of Autodrom Most and member of the organizing association AMK Most.
The programme begins already on Thursday, May 14, when the circuit will open to the public for a community track run. Friday, May 15, will feature practice sessions, as well as Ride Like a Pro, giving fans the chance to ride the Most circuit on their own motorcycles. Saturday, May 16, brings the first main WorldSBK race and the opening races of the WorldSSP and WorldSPB categories. After the racing programme, fans will be allowed onto the start-finish straight and starting grid as part of the “Down to the Asphalt” experience.
Sunday, May 17, will feature the morning Tissot Superpole Race, the second main WorldSBK race, and additional races from the WorldSSP and WorldSPB categories. The weekend will conclude with the traditional Bike Parade, allowing motorcyclists to become part of the event directly on the racing circuit.
WorldSBK Czech Round 2026 will therefore offer a combination of world championship racing, Czech riders, a brand-new category, and experiences that go far beyond the grandstands. For fans, it represents the first major motorsport weekend of the year in the Czech Republic — and an opportunity to witness live whether Nicolò Bulega can conquer Most as well, or whether the Czech Round will bring the first major turning point of the season.
Tickets are available through the official Autodrom Most online ticket sale. Children under 15 have free admission, making the WorldSBK Czech Round an attractive weekend for families looking to experience world-class motorsport live.
